Inspired by mythology, (un)reality, melancholy, nature and philosophy, you can see in my work how my inner vision emerges to outer reality. For me, making art is a way to find inner peace and a way to combine my perception with reality.
When thinking of a concept or making a finished product, I like to experiment with different materials. I am always looking for a new way to try something out, which I consider to be one of my strong traits. This creates ‘happy little accidents’ and influences the final product in a positive manner. Where I once wanted to start as a furniture maker, I found my path while trying different disciplines such as graphic design, interactive design and eventually animation.
My partner and I have created a small studio where storytelling is important to us. At this very moment we are reworking our first book of a soon to be trilogy, which is meant for the so called ‘tweens’. We are also going to add illustrations. With our book we want to invite children to our world ‘Turas’, wherein perseverance, friendship and adventure play a big role. Furthermore we engage in creating concept art, visual development and writing stories.
